The goal is to improve the quality of life, create more jobs, and ensure sustainable growth while using technology to solve everyday challenges. Smart Bangladesh is about building a future where technology helps the country develop and people enjoy better opportunities. Bangladesh has already taken significant steps towards becoming a Smart Bangladesh. The government has launched various initiatives like Digital Bangladesh, which aims to promote IT literacy, improve internet access, and provide online government services. The BD e-Government Procurement system has already streamlined public procurement processes. Mobile financial services like bKash have revolutionized the way people send money and make payments in the country. Additionally, the government is working on expanding the country's digital infrastructure, including increasing the number of internet users, building data centers, and developing tech hubs. The country's emphasis on IT education and training, through initiatives like ICT Divisions and National ICT Policy, is also laying the foundation for a skilled digital workforce.
